The Acer Predator Triton 300 SE isn’t the cheapest gaming laptop on the market, by any means – but if you really want the best, you’d have to be sure to get the best. Like many of the better gaming laptops this one also has a very high build quality for a portable laptop, especially considering the ultra-thin screen. But is it any good? In our review, we’ll find out if this particular model offers anything truly revolutionary.
Acer Predator Triton 300 SE laptops offer a lot to a lot of different people. If you love streaming HD video, having a fast, responsive desktop, and enjoy desktop gaming but you’re on a budget, then this could be your solution. The Acer Predator 300SE is the first gaming laptop with a RTX3060 that has come through traditional gaming halls, making it possibly the cheapest 3000-series notebook we have tested. Its great build quality, cool but not overly over-the-top style, and respectable 1080p performance help make it a solid choice whether you want to break the bank or not.
With a quad-core Intel CPU, plenty of RAM and an integrated hard drive, the Acer Predator 300 SE makes for a solid, stable laptop. The built in speakers are good, as expected, but only if you are going to use the sound card to handle surround sound. Otherwise, you will need to use a headset. Though we have given the nod to the processor here, if you really want a gaming laptop, look towards the overclocked Core 2 Duo models from both companies. For extra power, go for a quad core processor or a model with fourGB of ram and an Nvidia GTX graphics card.
