The frestpunk developer 11 bit studio today announced that the game will soon come to iOS and Android. Details on Frostpunk’s cellular port are still slim enough, but we know that 11 bit studios will not handle the development of iOS and Android versions. Conversely, 11 bits have recruited neteases, a Chinese developer who has partnered with a number of major developers and publishers in the past.
Netease and 11 bits get rolling balls in FrostPunk Mobile quickly, because the game is dedicated, but rather rare, and run it. We don’t have the right release date for FrostPunk Mobile, but today’s announcement says that the game will come out on Android and iOS later this year.
Also unknown is how the cellular version will be different from the right frostpunk, if done at all. Game’s Title – Frostpunk Mobile – shows that there may be some differences between versions, but for now, 11 bits say that the cellular version will be “authentic to the original FrostPunk signature gameplay mechanism used by the player.”
We are also told that the game will “let dive players deeper into the survival experience of post-apokalypse society,” but once again, it is difficult to know what it means. Netease and 11-bit announcements say that we will have new features to look forward to the cellular version, including “Roguelike Adventure, Law and Guild, rare animal rescue stations, and character development.”
For more, it looks like we have to wait. Additional details, including “detailed release timeline,” will be disclosed at the NetEase annual product launch event on May 20, so maybe we will see the game in that action? We will notify you when more revealed, so stay here for it.
