There are only a few famous Android tablet makers and Samsung may take the top position on the market. Lenovo, however, take the cake when it comes to a unique feature. It used to have an Android tablet that turns into an emergency and other Echo Amazon Echo show that you can wait on the wall or in the kitchen. It seems that the next trick is launching an Android tablet that not only has HDMI but also has an HDMI input to turn it into a portable monitor.
Lenovo has been rumored to have a device like that last year when the name “Yoga X” starts walking around rumors of Mill. Not much is known at that time but it has been double-tipped as the second monitor. Or when Lenovo itself will suggest, as the main monitor for your Nintendo switch.
A post on Weibo by a Lenovo Yoga account shows this idea, with the Nintendo Switch on the dock connected to what originally looks like a portable HDMI screen. Of course, it was a penny of a dozen today but the post was quite often eliminating the ambiguity. Along with (translated) Tagar Tablet Yoga Lenovo, it also talks about “HDMI IN”, standard features on any portable external screen that should not be mentioned.
In terms of design, the device does look like one of Lenovo’s yoga tablets, at least with a cone-shaped lump on the one hand and kickstand. Not much can be obtained from the image but, it certainly presents an interesting use case for Android tablets. That said, you must also find a way to power the switch while traveling.
This teaser can come at a better time, at least to use an Android tablet to play games. Google recently revealed its “entertainment space” that highlighted mobile games, among others. Streaming Xbox Game Pass Pass can also add other sources to play games on the big screen.
