Feather has launched a new version of its SuperPod mesh system that supports WiFi 6, offering users the ability to cover their home with Gigabit speeds. As with the previous SuperPod version, which only supports WiFi 5, the last iteration has a design that plugs directly into a power outlet, although you will still need the HomePass subscription to use it.
According to Feather, its new SuperPod product has the TRI-Band function of its original product, but with the WiFi support 6 that clients ask. The mesh system works with feather homepass, a subscription that provides information such as cloud-based updates, application network management, and safety features, among others.
Users can expect things like alerts when a security problem is detected, in quarantine peripherals, adaptive speeds and coverage, awareness of the movements and the ability to control access to their home network. Of course, the disadvantage is to have to pay for adhesion.
The subscription is at a price of USD 99 for a single year or for those who plan to stay with the system for a while, $ 179 for two years or $ 249 for three years. The new SuperPod with WiFi 6 is more expensive than its WIFI counter 5 to 159 USD compared to 99 USD. The number of superpodes you will need depends on the size of your home.
According to the company, a two-bedroom house requires only two SuperPod products, while three to four rooms will need three, and a five-to-six room house will need four. There is a limited offer for the moment for a USD hardware reduction of 99 USD.
