This week’s hardware leak shows a set of MacBook devices that make us want to switch back to using Apple computers. I have used a Windows or Mac OS computer for the past few decades – at this point I can go with software. With what I did on one of the platforms, my application uses a pretty much roll, regardless of the OS. For me, hardware now needs to make a case for my next purchase.
With what leaked this week, Apple might just create a situation that I won’t avoid. This new computer value is not necessarily in relation to the apple ecosystem, but in crowded aesthetics. This MacBook air, or only a MacBook, will be very likely to be launched in a variety of colorful metals, no different from the latest iMac.
The indications distributed by Jon Proser (with Rendersbyian) show a set of MacBook devices with blue, purple, silver, pink, orange, yellow, and green. The colors here look more muted than in the IMAC (with chip M1) but we are looking at the unofficial rendering here vs Apple real-deal devices – so they can easily be more suitable in real life.
Also interesting in this design is the bottom of the notebook. There, instead of relying on four feet of bumper, this notebook has two long stems. This blade is likely to be more chewy and grippy like a previous notebook bumper foot – but it will (hopefully) hold a period of time longer than the previous solution.
This week’s leak information shows that this MacBook will have at least two USB-C ports, one on each side of the computer. It seems that there is also a reason to believe in the touch-ID sensor in the upper right corner of the keyboard, as we see the end at the end of April for several machines.
For now, I still use surface notebooks in tedious dark gray. I crossed the fingers we will also get Apple pencil support on the next generation MacBook, but I will not hold your breath.
